Cloudstack Integration

How to Integrate Cloudstack with ECmanaged

This guide will walk you through the steps you need to perform to integrate CloudStack private cloud to ECmanaged. First, you need to collect CloudStack API credentials and then provide it to ECmanaged for integration.

Step 1: Getting CloudStack Credentials

You need to provide API key and Secret Key to add CloudStack as a cloud provider in ECmanaged. These information are available in CloudStack dashboard. You need to navigate to Accounts and then select the user. In the user details page, you should select View Users, and then again select the user, which will open a page as shown below:

By default, the API key and Secret Key is empty, you have to generate them using Generate Keys button.

Step 2: Integrating CloudStack

First, you need to login to the ECmanaged and go to the Add a Cloud Provider wizard either using the new server drop-down menu or using Preferences > My Cloud Providers.

In the Add a Cloud Provider wizard, you need to choose Private Cloud as Cloud Type, CLOUDSTACK as Cloud Provider, and the Select region as CloudStack. Then click Next.

In the next window, you should choose a Provider Name, which is by default CLOUDSTACK. and put CloudStack API Key as API User, CloudStack Secret Key as API Key. The Identity URL is http://management-server:port/client/api.

Then you click Next, if everything is correct, ECmanaged will be connected to the CloudStack deployment. The figure below shows the output of a successful CloudStack provider addition.
