DigitalOcean Integration

How to Integrate DigitalOcean with ECmanaged

This guide will walk you through the steps you need to perform to integrate DigitalOcean cloud to ECmanaged. First, you need to collect DigitalOcean API credentials and then provide it to ECmanaged for integration.

Step 1: Getting DigitalOcean Credentials

Users need to provide Client ID and API KEY to add DigitalOcean as a cloud provider in ECmanaged. ECmanaged currently supports DigitalOcean API V1.0 and credentials are found in, as shown below:

You have to generate a new key, as previously generated keys are hidden.

Step 2: Integrating DigitalOcean

First, you need to login to the ECmanaged and go to the Add a Cloud Provider wizard either using the new server drop-down menu or using Preferences > My Cloud Providers.

In the Add a Cloud provider wizard, user needs to choose Public Cloud as Cloud Type, DIGITAL OCEAN as Cloud Provider. Select region is set to DigitalOcean worldwide(all locations) by default. Then click Next.

In the next window, you should choose a Provider Name, which is by default DIGITAL OCEAN. You need to put Client ID as API User, and fill the API KEY.

Then you click Next, if everything is correct, ECmanaged will be connected to the DigitalOcean Cloud. The figure below shows the output of a successful DigitalOcean Cloud provider addition.
